AI Ops Learning & Experience Designer

Design the human learning and interaction layer that enables teams to understand, operate, and make decisions within complex AI reliability, monitoring, and triage systems.

Role Overview

The AI Ops Learning & Experience Designer will lead the design of learning flows, interactive materials, and enablement artifacts that translate complex AI system architectures into usable, human-centered operational guidance.

This role focuses on how humans encounter and use AI systems in practice, not on defining system logic or metrics. You will work closely with system designers and the founder to transform established frameworks (e.g., triage logic, decision artifacts, severity models) into clear, engaging learning experiences that support real-world decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Design learning flows that help new and experienced operators understand AI monitoring and triage systems.
  • Translate system concepts and artifacts into human-centered guidance, examples, and workflows.
  • Create modular learning assets such as interactive guides, decision trees, scenario walkthroughs, and reference materials.
  • Select appropriate formats (docs, visuals, lightweight websites, videos) based on learning goals and user needs.
  • Prototype interactive or visual learning experiences that reduce cognitive load and improve usability.
  • Structure content to distinguish first-read explanations from day-to-day operational references.
  • Partner with system designers to clarify intent while preserving ownership of system logic and frameworks.Identify points of likely user confusion and propose learning-oriented mitigations.Contribute to the development of reusable enablement patterns across AI Ops projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in learning design, enablement, technical education, or complex documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate abstract or technical systems into clear, usable learning materials.
  • Strong judgment about when to use text, visuals, interaction, or narrative to support learning.
  • Comfort working from incomplete or evolving system designs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
  • Strong organizational and synthesis skills across multiple input sources.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing interactive learning content or digital enablement materials.
  • Background working with complex systems (AI, data platforms, workflow tools, or regulated domains).
  • Familiarity with human-centered design or instructional design principles.
  • Experience with tools such as Webflow, Notion, GitBook, Figma, or similar.
  • Comfort creating lightweight visual assets (diagrams, flows, annotated walkthroughs).Exposure to AI, data systems, or operational tooling (no engineering required).

Employment Details
